Monty Bruell is the host of your Studio:Next. He was the Host and Creator of Start It Up, a radio show (on local NPR-affiliate WUTC) and podcast about startups, technology, and innovation. He is also a shareholder and board member of Rapid RMS, a software company specializing in retail management systems for convenience stores, liquor stores, and other retailers.
As an entrepreneur, marketing consultant, and investment advisor, Monty Bruell has more than 25 years of experience across a broad spectrum of industries and market environments. He specializes in developing innovative business strategies that help companies generate successful models for branding, customer acquisition and revenue generation.
Monty has founded companies in business sectors as diverse as marketing consulting, commercial construction, magazine publishing, and asset management. Additionally, he has been a successful manager within several Fortune 500 organizations (including Coca-Cola, Marriott, Unum, and Morgan Stanley).
As a community volunteer, Monty has been Founder and Chairman of the Harvard Alumni Partnership to Advance Non-Profits (HAPAN), Vice Chairman of the Atlanta BeltLine Tax Allocation District Advisory Committee, and Chairman of Chattanooga Venture. He is currently an Entrepreneurship Mentor at The Company Lab, a technology incubator/accelerator in Chattanooga, TN.
Monty has a B.A. in Economics (with an emphasis in Theories of the Firm and Inter-Firm Rivalry) from Harvard University.
